After Zadey’s week with Auntie was over, Joanne and I headed back to California to spend the weekend and give my sister, Morgan a small break by taking her girls for the night. We went swimming, ordered pizza, and got adjoining rooms at my friend’s hotel (Jennifer is the General Manager, I’m so proud of her!!). We had a great time together and it was a real treat for us to spend time with our nieces alone.

Before our night began, we spent some family time together when Cameron, Nikki, Sydney, Morgan, and her girls joined us to fill my craving for Jake’s Tex Mex. From there we headed off with the girls to start our day of swimming. In the evening, Jennifer came by the hotel to pick up her birthday present and spend some time gossiping, as friends do. I can’t believe my best friend is 30!! I only have a short time to bug her about it too, before long I will also be 30!

On a spur of the moment trip, we headed to California to spend time with my family for the 4th of July and a celebration of my Mom’s birthday. It was just a quick 1 day trip for Joanne and I. But it was a week long visit for Zadey who got to stay the week with Auntie, Cali, and Malia. She always enjoys her time with them and I’m so grateful that my sister has it in her to take care of all 3 girls so that they can enjoy time together.

My niece, Cali made a beautiful cake for Gammy and I’m so proud of her. And we got to enjoy the day with Whitney, my brother Doug’s oldest who we all haven’t seen in quite sometime.

All in all, the day was wonderful. Spending time with baby Sydney was a real treat and even better when at the end of the night, she fell asleep cuddling with me! :D
